Celebration – The main idea was behind the piece was the tension that i feel when one of the most humanistic and traditional rituals meet with the contemporary technology. Also the scene in the image, symbolically seems like demonstrate the punishment of the priest because of he is using a cell phone to capture the celebration. Like a punishment for a sin, we see him like in the flames and still the celebration continues. I used drum loops for a feel of ritualistic repetition. Some synthesis to give the tension of the traditional ritual meeting with technology and also the tension of imaginary punishment. Used a sample of Meskel celebrations in between the melodies to express the continuing celebration.
